Fallout Rules and Regulations

Guild Creed:

Fallout is a group of hardcore raiders located on Dalvengyr (US-PvP). As a whole, we strive for perfection in everything we do. Be it Black Temple or Hogger. Individually we are committed to doing whatever it takes to be at the top of our game. The Fallout tag is earned and those wishing to wear it must show the same dedication that our members show.

Code of Conduct:
  • No drama. Drama will be dealt with dramatically.
  • No fussing. You don't like how things are run, leave. Short comments or recommendations are acceptable at the proper time and place.
  • No in-guild dating. Online daters will be properly ridiculed via ingame “/point” and “/laugh” commands.
  • Contrary to what Illidan may say, we expect our raiders to come prepared.

Requisite Software and Addons:

Ventrilo – Must be able to listen and communicate on Vent. This includes responding promptly. Vent info is available in the Guild Information tab. Do NOT give our Ventrilo information out without permission from an Officer. All unexpected guests will be kick and quite possibly banned.
oRA2 - latest.
Omen Threat Meter - latest.
Deadly Boss Mods - latest.
SmartRes - latest (all resurrectors).
PallyPower - latest (all paladins).

Note: Watch this list for future software and mod requirements.

Raider Status:
Several criteria will be used to determine player placement in either the Member or Alumni ranks. Raiders and Alumni will be evaluated on the same criteria, and are in competition for raider spots. A warning system will be used to indicate to the player where the guild believes they are falling short. The first warning will be set of instructions for improvement provided by the class leader. The second warning will be a meeting with The Officers on Vent. Along with becoming a member you are expected to pull any and all level 70 alts that you may have and tag them with Fallout.
  • Attendance Requirements - Each player will be required to maintain a rough attendance percentage (Attendance is calculated as a running average, truncating data over one month old). This percentage will be decided upon as the player joins the raiding ranks. It should number between 85% to 100%, based on the player's real life schedule, and will be permanently recorded.
  • Performance Requirements - Each week officers will measure performance during raid activities and continued substandard performance will required warnings to be issued. See raid performance below.
  • Preparation Requirements - Players are required to bring the appropriate pots and consumables (TBD) to each raid, or maybe be required to complete raid oriented objectives (i.e. faction levels, attunement, etc.). Details will be provided prior to raiding activities. They are also required to have the requisite UI software installed and working. Warnings will be issued if players aren't adequately prepared.

Raiding Operations:
  • Raid dates are Sunday at 6:30pm as well as Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00pm server time. This may change some time in the future with the possible addition of raid days and perhaps the exclusion of other raid dates as we begin to put content onto Farm Status.
  • Raid attendees must have their main on at raid start time or will be counted absent.
  • Raid makeup will be determined by The Officers immediately after raid start time.
  • Loot is distributed via Officer discretion. Raid members desiring loot are required to properly “Aye” on drops by typing “Aye [Your Current Item]” in Raid Chat after an Officer has started the looting process. Raid chat is to be completely cleared during this time except for potential bidders.
  • Currently players under the Fallout tag are not to raid any instance or raid bosses (such as Doom Lord Kazzak or Doomwalker) other than Karazhan, Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon's Lair outside of the guild for the time being.

Raid Performance:

Each player is required to accomplish the major role of their class. DPS'ers will be required to maintain damage levels, healers required to maintain healing done, and tanks required to tank effectively. Performance will be gauged relative to others in the same class as well as classes with the same role. Performance objectives may change with raid instance requirements. Healers may be required to dps or tank. DPS'ers may be required to perform crowd control or decursing type functions. Tanks may be required to DPS. Other negative issues such as pulling aggro, unintended pulls, poor positioning, wiping the raid, etc., will also count toward performance. Players whos performance is significantly lower than others of the same class/major role will begin receiving warnings. Raid members are also expected to whisper an Officer before and after going afk.

Absentee Excuses:

Minor excuses will not be accepted as reasons for players to miss raiding events. Computer issues, network problems, etc. will not be accepted as excuses. Work/school schedules should be factored in to your Attendance Profile. If you have vacation for a week, plan ahead so that you can attend every other event surrounding that week to maintain your percentage. Major excuses will be accepted, such as death in the family, major illnesses, and kidnapping by terrorists.
  • Members are expected to post their Excuses in the appropriate thread inside the "Raid Attendance" forum.
  • Applicants are expected to post the date as well as their excuse inside their application thread.
